I visited here around lunchtime and was super lucky to find the last table available! The service was quick and friendly and the food tasted great! (Sorry, no pics of that.) For a place to be packed on a weekday you know they have to be doing something right. I'll definitely be back!

Great breakfast and baked goods. Next up is to try their burgers, I hear great things.

Love this place. It’s our morning stop before leaving the city on a hiking day in the mountains. I love their old diner touch, their coffee (JJ bean Vancouver) is great. My only little critique is that I find their breakfast sausages a little “cheap” tasting. they could use more flavor/spices.

Love this little place in Bowness! Classic home cooked breakfasts and lunches and great lattes! Can get crowded sometimes but we've always managed to find a table without too many issues!

Just a great place for food and coffee.The staff are great and you could not ask for more in an establishment.

I got the feeling this is a Where everybody knows your name ....kind place. Very nice comfortable spot for locals to hang. Food is good not great. Staff was nice. For me...it was a bit dirty...I’m sure it’s hard to keep up but that’s important. I also don’t like the tip before you’ve eaten process. I still much prefer OEB.

Services is great, restaurant ambiance is fun. I didn't feel the food was a good value for price point.

Love to support local in Bowness as we do with Cadence, but struggle with local businesses like Cadence not supporting Local themselves. There are so many great local coffee bean roasters in Calgary that roast amazing coffee, like Kingdom Coffee or the Roastery. I’m saddened to see Cadence supporting all their coffee from a Vancouver Roaster where many there in BC have hampered our local AB businesses, including many of us in Bowness.

Visiting Calgary from the UK and looked up a good breakfast bar and Cadence Coffee happened to appear. The service is really friendly and the food is delicious. Personally can recommend the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, avacado, cheddar, onions, peppers fillings.

Nice cafe in Bowness. I only had a drip coffee, but it had a quality taste.

Tables weren't wiped between customers, freezer burn was the prominent flavour in the hasbrowns, got a long hair in my wrap, and a soggy grey grape in the 'fresh fruit.' Menu board doesn't describe sides very well and you are asked for a tip before you get good or service.Cute decorations.

It's pretty good. Had the Ukrainian breakfast and it was pretty weak tho. Can go to Nellie's, oeb, diner deluxe and get more for less. 4/5 for nostalgia

Great coffee and food as well as friendly staff, it's a good sign that it's always busy here!

Great coffee. Super casual and relaxed. Always enjoy the GTA sandwich. Can't ever get the eggs cooked the way I like them -- too squishy / under-cooked -- so I gave up on those. Staff is always hopping in this busy place. They do a good job.

Poor food poor coffee unqualified staff .. sorry folks I went in there positive ... came out negative ...

The first time I came it was fantastic, but I came back and almost my whole order of hash browns was bunt and not just a little burnt but like charcoal. Very disappointed.

This cafe is an upbeat favorite in the heart of Bowness, brewing fine coffee and serving up the amazing food with a smile. Everytime i come to this place i feel welcomed. The only reason for 4 stars is the local art work for sale is a bit pricey. They have the most incredible lattes i would drive for miles to get this coffee..All in all great little place ,lively and hip with the comforts of familiarity.Cheers.

Eat the bowness scramble... drink the coffee. Love this place. Go for board games with friends on Thursday nights.

Great place to grab a bite to eat in the morning. We were in Calgary for a tournament and needed a standard breakfast before playing. Cute atmosphere, good food.

Cadence is my go to cafe. The food is fantastic - traditional breakfast, tuna melt, breakfast on a bagel are some of my favourites. The coffee is some of the best in the city. For me it's a bit like Cheers where everybody knows my name. I love the fact that my cup can go there on its own and the staff at Cadence know what fills it.

Great coffee! Had an Americano and it tasted like the coffees I had in Italy. Would highly recommend. The breakfast sandwiches were good. Cute little place.

The food and coffee was excellent with really friendly service.

The food here is basic, but very good. Had the breakfast burrito. It was filled with the sausage and veggies I asked for, but had to ask for the sour cream and salsa that should accompany.

Eggs benny were fantastic. Coffee was great, too. Nice spot with lively atmosphere and quick service.

Classic, kitschy diner. Great atmosphere, excellent coffee, fast friendly service (even on a Saturday lunch rush), and the food was amazing! Perfect diner burger, just the right amount of grease, with very fresh bun, lettuce, and tomatoes. Husband got the breakfast special and loved it. Will definitely be back.

Fun and casual place. The coffee and food are both great. You tend to meet lots of interesting people there.

I really don't understand places like this. They look like a restaurant. They serve food. But on a busy weekday at noon, fully a third of the tables are occupied by single people with a laptop, papers and a cold, half-drunk latte. So when our family of four walks in, wanting lunch (shocking, I know), there's no place to sit. Plus, not one of the waitstaff looks at us, or tells us to seat ourselves, or that they might find us a table. There's apparently no waitlist, so we poke around looking for a table, and another coupe comes into the restaurant after us and sits down at a table before we can get there (2 year olds don't walk quickly). So no service, and no space for us, and no semblance of order. So we just walked away.I can't actually comment on the quality of the food.

Finally was able to get a seat after three previous attempts. The food was good. The tables were dirty. Nothing special. Employee was not welcoming. The location must be why people go, certainly isn't for service

BEST almond milk latte EVER!! And the cheese and mushroom omlette is my go too everytime. Also love, love, LOVE the staffThe girls are gems 👌💕I've been going to cadence since I was 11 years old. I am now 28 and still go with my dad all the time 🙂

Great atmosphere, huge selection on the menu, reasonable prices. AWESOME service.

This is the best breakfast spot in bowness hands down ,try the breakfast burrito. Walk up to the counter and order then they bring your food to you. I don't drink coffee but I hear the coffee there is excellent and all the baking goodies cookies and cakes definitely were stopping in if you're on bowness road across from the old hotel

Love the treats and coffee at Cadence, always fresh. The cozy atmosphere is another reason I spend time here.

It wasn't too busy on a Thursday afternoon. Food and drinks were served within a reasonable time and staff was patient while I ordered. Good place to spend time meeting up and talking with others.

Great food, and really friendly service, a little pricey though. Make sure you time accordingly as it can get busy and be hard to find a table.

Cute place for brunch. Seat yourself, order at counter and they will deliver your for to your table. Variety of brunch and lunch options. Cute retro/vintage feel. Will go again.
